Joyce stepped in when we urgently needed support to care from afar for an older person dealing with complex medical issues, including mental health challenges. Her knowledge of local medical resources was instrumental in obtaining appropriate treatment for our loved one. She scheduled all the medical appointments and then accompanied our patient to them. Sometimes this was in person, and at other times Joyce came to the patient’s apartment to set up and conduct the appointments by video.

Joyce followed up with implementing the medical providers’ recommendations, including ensuring new medications were obtained and additional appointments booked as needed.

One weekend she spent many hours waiting for hospital admission for the patient and stayed with her through a long series of evaluations. Her communications to us regarding the patient have been thorough, timely and helpful.
